FMS Fleet — Support

For the FMS Fleet apps for iPhone and Android.

Email: info@fmsgps.co

Tell us the vehicle's name and roughly when the problem happened — that is usually enough for us to find it.

Getting an account

The app has no sign-up screen, and that is on purpose. Accounts belong to a fleet, and the person who runs your fleet creates them — in the FMS console, under Users. If you do not have one yet, ask them rather than us; if you run the fleet and are not sure how, write to us and we will walk you through it.

Common questions

A vehicle says "No signal"

That means the platform has heard nothing from that vehicle's tracker for ten minutes, and the app would rather tell you so than keep showing a position that has stopped being true. It usually clears by itself. If it does not, the tracker may have no power or no mobile coverage where the vehicle is parked — that is worth telling us about.

A vehicle shows the wrong place

Place names come from the platform, not from your phone. Somewhere with no street data nearby can read as the nearest road instead of the building. The coordinates underneath are what the tracker reported.

I am not getting alerts

An alert only reaches you if the rule that raises it has the on-screen alert switched on, and if the vehicle is one the rule watches. Both are set in Alerts → the rule. On iPhone, notifications with the app closed are not available yet.

Something is greyed out or says "not permitted"

Your account has the permissions your fleet administrator gave it. Sending commands to a vehicle, editing records and creating sharing links are usually kept to administrators.
